Hot Dog Hustle 5K at Renton Community Center Campus
The Hot Dog Hustle 5K is a community run and walk held at the Renton Community Center Campus in Renton, Washington. The course follows the paved Cedar River Trail out from the campus and then loops back to the community center. Participants can enjoy free hot dogs after the event as part of the Independence Day and City of Renton 125th anniversary activities.
Chip timing is provided by Negative Split and each race bib functions as the timing chip; bibs must be worn outside clothing facing forward for accurate timing. Timing concludes 45 minutes after the start, and recreational finishers who are not timed are asked to avoid the timing chute area. Strollers are permitted on course.
Registration is offered in three windows with differing fees and shirt eligibility: Early Bird (April 22 to June 7) and Standard (June 8 to June 17) registrations guarantee a race t-shirt; Last Call (June 18 to June 26) does not include a shirt. Fee tiers are listed by age group in the event details.
Race bib and shirt pick up is available for pre-registered participants at the Renton Community Center prior to the event and on race morning. Dogs and handlers are welcome with rules: no more than two dogs per person, dogs must be vaccinated and at least six months old, leashes no longer than six feet, no female dogs in heat, and aggressive animals or handlers will be removed.
