Hot Dog Hustle 5K
The Hot Dog Hustle 5K takes place on July 4, 2026 at the Renton Community Center Campus, 1719 SE Maple Valley Hwy, Renton, WA 98057. The course follows paved sections of the Cedar River Trail and returns to the Community Center Campus. Free hot dogs are provided to participants at the finish as part of the event celebration for the City of Renton’s 125th anniversary.
The event uses professional chip timing provided by Negative Split. Race bibs serve as timing chips and must be worn outside clothing facing forward. Timing ends 45 minutes after the start; recreational participants who finish after that time will not be timed and should avoid crossing the timing chute.
Registration is offered in three windows with different fees and t-shirt eligibility:
- Early Bird April 22 to May 31: ages 4 to 17 $12.50, ages 18 and up $17.76; guarantees a Hot Dog Hustle 5K t-shirt.
- Standard June 1 to June 17: ages 4 to 17 $17.76, ages 18 and up $25.00; guarantees a t-shirt.
- Last Call June 18 to June 26: all ages $25; not eligible for a t-shirt.
Race bib and shirt pickup is available at the Renton Community Center the day before the race and onsite the morning of the event for pre-registered participants. Strollers are permitted on course. Dog rules include leash length limits, vaccination requirements, age minimums, a two-dog maximum per person, and restrictions on dogs in heat or showing aggression.
