Tampa SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run in Tampa is a chocolate-themed sports event scheduled for December 13, 2026. The race is professionally managed and timed, offering three distinct distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
The courses begin and end at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park. Participants run along the water for the entire route, passing several local landmarks including Bayshore Boulevard, the Platt Street Bridge, and the Bayshore Fitness Trail. The route also provides views of Harbour and Davis Islands, Columbus Statue Park, and the Historic Hyde Park North neighborhood.
Registered participants receive a runner's kit that includes a full-zip jacket and a commemorative race bib. All finishers are awarded a medal and a specialized finisher's mug. This mug contains hot chocolate, chocolate fondue, and various dippables. A post-race party is held at the park featuring music and vendors.
An expo and packet pickup takes place the day before the race at the Florida State Fairgrounds. There is no packet pickup available on the day of the race. Participants can receive free high-resolution race photos and timing results via email after crossing the finish line. Awards are available for top overall finishers and across various age groups.
