Event Information
The Hot Chocolate Run in Tampa is scheduled for December 13, 2026 at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park. The event offers three distances: 5K, 10K, and 15K. All races start and finish at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park.
Course and Experience
The course highlights include running over the Platt Street Bridge and along Bayshore Boulevard, with views of the harbor and Davis Islands. The route passes by landmarks such as Columbus Statue Park, the City of Tampa’s Pirate Ship, the Bayshore Fitness Trail, and the Historic Hyde Park North neighborhood, and runs along the water for the entire distance.
Post-Race and Amenities
A post-race party takes place at the finish area in the park. Participants receive a finisher’s mug filled with chocolate fondue, dippables, and hot chocolate. The registration kit includes an exclusive full-zip jacket and a commemorative finisher’s medal. Free race photos and professionally timed results are provided.
Logistics
Packet pickup occurs the day before the race at the Florida State Fairgrounds Florida Center. There is no race day packet pickup, but a packet mailing option is available for a fee. Parking is available in garages near the venue, and public transit via the HSBC Station is an option. A VIP upgrade called the Ghirardelli Cocoa Club offers perks like a special lounge, premium hot cocoa, and a shopping bag with take-home cocoa.
