Event Overview
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run in Tampa is a themed athletic event that combines distance running with a chocolate-focused celebration. The event features multiple distance options and takes place along the waterfront, starting and ending at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park. The course is professionally managed and timed, offering views of Harbour and Davis Islands, the Columbus Statue Park, and the Bayshore Fitness Trail.
Participants receive a race kit that includes a full-zip jacket and a commemorative finisher's medal. Free high-resolution race photos are provided to all runners after they cross the finish line.

Course and Experience
The route follows a scenic path along the water, crossing the Platt Street Bridge and continuing onto Bayshore Boulevard. Runners pass through the Historic Hye Park North neighborhood and by the City of Tampa’s Pirate Ship.
After completing the race, participants gain access to a post-race party at the park. This celebration includes music, various vendors, and a finisher's mug. The mug is filled with chocolate fondue, dippables, and hot chocolate. For those seeking additional amenities, an optional upgrade provides access to a private lounge with a hot breakfast item and preferred start corral placement.
Logistics
A pre-race expo is held at the Florida State Fairgrounds for packet pickup and merchandise sales. There is no packet pickup available on the day of the race. For transportation, the HSBC Station (Yellow line) is located near the start corrals, though service typically begins in the mid-morning.
