Event Overview
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run takes place on December 6, 2026, in downtown St. Louis. The event offers participants a choice of distances: a 5K, 10K, and 15K. The start and finish area is at Kaufman Park (1200 Chestnut St, St. Louis, MO 63103).
Race Details
All three distances start at 7:30 AM. Gear check opens 60 minutes before the start time. The courses tour downtown St. Louis, passing sites such as Energizer Park (home of St. Louis CITY FC), Soldiers Memorial, St. Louis University, and Union Station. The 15K course adds a run down Washington Avenue and through Ballpark Village and the Soulard area.
Post-Race and Perks
All registered runners receive a full-zip jacket and a commemorative finisher's medal. At the finish line, participants are given a finisher's mug filled with chocolate fondue, dippables, and hot chocolate. A post-race party features music, vendors, and more chocolate. An optional VIP upgrade, the Ghirardelli Cocoa Club, provides perks like an exclusive shopping bag with Ghirardelli cocoa, a store credit, VIP corral placement, access to a private area with a hot breakfast item and dedicated restrooms.
Logistics
An expo for packet pickup will be held, but the date and location are to be determined. There is no race-day packet pickup. Participants can add packet mailing for a fee until November 15, 2026. Parking is available around downtown St. Louis, with road closures beginning at 7:00 AM. A shuttle service is available from the Americas Center for a fee. The event is professionally timed, and free high-resolution photos are provided to participants after the race. Awards are given for overall and age group winners in the 5K and 15K.
