Event Overview
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run in Phoenix takes place on December 6, 2026. The start and finish location is Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza, an urban park in front of the Arizona state capitol complex in downtown Phoenix.
Distances
The event offers three race distances: 5K, 10K, and 15K.
Participant Experience
Registered participants receive an exclusive full-zip jacket and a commemorative finisher's medal. After the race, finishers are given a chocolate fondue mug with dippables and hot chocolate. A post-race party is held at the Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza, which includes music and vendors.
VIP Option
A Ghirardelli Cocoa Club upgrade is available. This VIP package includes a shopping bag with take-home cocoa, a store credit, preferred corral placement, access to a dedicated area with amenities like a hot breakfast item and heaters, and dedicated restrooms.
Course Details
The course starts and ends at Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza. Runners will pass landmarks including the Arizona Financial Theatre, the Arizona State Capitol, the Sandra Day O’Connor Courthouse, and the Footprint Center. An interactive course map is available online.
Race Day Logistics
Packet pickup occurs at an expo on a date to be determined; there is no race day packet pickup. Participants can pay to have their packet mailed to them by a specified deadline. Parking is available in surrounding lots operated by the State of Arizona, and public transportation or carpooling is encouraged. Road closures on the course will affect vehicle traffic from the east of the start/finish area.
Additional Information
The event is professionally timed, and free high-resolution race photos are provided to participants. Awards are given for overall and age group finishers in each distance, with prizes including cash, free or discounted registration for the following year, and exclusive awards or patches.
