Hot Chocolate Run – Houston
The Hot Chocolate Run in Houston is a city road race that starts and finishes at Sam Houston Park near Buffalo Bayou and Allen Parkway. The event offers multiple race distances and a professionally managed, timed course with live runner tracking and free high resolution finish photos sent to participants.
The post race area at Sam Houston Park includes music, vendors, and a finisher's mug filled with chocolate fondue, dippables, and hot chocolate. Expo and packet pick-up are held the day before the race; packets must be collected at the expo or mailed in advance, as there is no race day packet pick-up.
Every registration includes a swag kit that features a full-zip fleece jacket and a finisher's medal. An upgraded Ghirardelli Cocoa Club option adds a canvas tote with take home cocoa, a $35 Hot Chocolate Store credit, VIP corral placement, access to a dedicated Cocoa Club area, upgraded on-site amenities and extra dippables.
Awards are given to top overall and age group finishers in each distance. Overall prizes include cash for the top three male and female finishers and complimentary registration for the following year. Age group awards are provided for standard age divisions, with special youth division in the 5K for nine and under. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
