Houston SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run
The event is a city running event held at Sam Houston Park in Houston. It offers multiple distances and a course that runs along Allen Parkway with views of the Buffalo Bayou. The start and finish are located at Sam Houston Park.
Available distances include:
- 5K
- 10K
- 10 mile
Registered participants receive a race kit that includes a full-zip jacket and a finisher's medal. The finish area provides a finisher's mug with chocolate fondue, dippables, and hot chocolate. A post race party in Sam Houston Park features music and vendors.
A VIP upgrade called the Ghirardelli Cocoa Club is available. That upgrade includes Ghirardelli hot cocoa, VIP preferred corral placement, access to a dedicated cocoa club area before and after the event, on site hot breakfast items, and other upgraded onsite amenities.
An expo and packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at the Community Collective for Houston. There is no race day packet pickup; packets must be collected at the expo or mailed in advance when that option is offered.
Overall awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each distance with cash prizes and free registration for the following year. Age group awards are also given to top finishers in standard age categories and include registration discounts and commemorative patches.
