Houston Hot Chocolate Run
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run in Houston centers on Sam Houston Park and includes multiple race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 10 mile
The course starts and finishes at Sam Houston Park and follows sections of Allen Parkway along Buffalo Bayou. The event includes a post-race party at Sam Houston Park with music, vendors, and a finisher mug served with chocolate fondue, dippables, and hot chocolate.
An expo and packet pickup takes place at the Community Collective for Houston and is free and open to the public. There is no race day packet pickup; packet mailing is offered for an additional fee. Race photos and official timing are provided and participants receive free high-resolution photos and race results by email. Live runner tracking is available for the event.
Registrations include an event kit with a commemorative full-zip jacket and a finisher medal. The event also offers a VIP upgrade through the Ghirardelli Cocoa Club which adds premium hot cocoa, a shopping bag with take home cocoa, VIP corral placement, and access to a dedicated Cocoa Club area with upgraded on-site amenities.
Awards are given to top three overall male and female finishers in each distance and to top three in multiple age group divisions. Overall prize packages include cash awards and complimentary registration for the following year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
