Event Overview
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run is a running event in Houston, Texas. It is scheduled for January 30, 2027, at Sam Houston Park.

Course & Venue
The start and finish line is at Sam Houston Park, located at 1000 Bagby St, Houston, TX 77002. The course runs along Allen Parkway and features views of the Buffalo Bayou River. Gear check opens 60 minutes before the start time.
Event Features
All registered participants receive a race kit that includes a commemorative race bib and a full-zip jacket. After the race, finishers get a medal and a finisher's mug filled with chocolate fondue, dippable items, and hot chocolate. A post-race party is held in the park with music and vendors. The event is professionally timed and offers free high-resolution photos. Live runner tracking is available. Registration includes an optional packet mailing service for a fee. There is no packet pickup on race day.
Ghirardelli Cocoa Club
An optional premium upgrade called the Ghirardelli Cocoa Club is available. It includes preferred corral placement, access to a private area before and after the race, a hot breakfast item, dedicated restrooms, Ghirardelli hot cocoa, and extra dippables. Members also receive a shopping bag with take-home cocoa and a store credit.
Awards
Overall awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance, with cash prizes and free registration for the following year. Age group awards are also presented to the top three finishers in various categories, offering discounts or free registration for the following year and an exclusive patch.
Expo & Logistics
A free, public expo and packet pickup is held on the Friday before the race at Community Collective for Houston (12401 S. Post Oak Dr., Houston, TX 77045). Free parking is available at the expo location. For race day, various parking garages are available near Sam Houston Park, but parking is not allowed on the course.
