Event Overview
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run takes place in Columbus on November 15, 2026. This event offers participants a choice of three race distances through the city's scenic districts and downtown areas. The courses are professionally managed and timed, featuring live runner tracking for participants and spectators.

Course and Location
The races begin in the Riverfront District at McFerson Commons and conclude near Nationwide Arena. Participants follow a route that passes through several iconic Columbus neighborhoods, including the Brewery District, German Village, Victorian Village, and the Short North. Notable landmarks along the course include the Rich Street Bridge, Bicentennial Park, and the Union Station Arch.
Participant Ambiance and Amenities
Participants receive a race kit that includes a full-zip jacket and a commemorative finisher's medal. A pre-race expo is held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center on the day before the event for packet pickup and vendor exhibits. Please note that there is no packet pickup available on the day of the race.
The finish line features a post-race party at McFerson Commons where finishers receive a mug filled with chocolate fondue, dippables, and hot chocolate. The celebration includes music and vendor booths. An upgraded experience is available through the Cocoa Club, which provides a dedicated lounge area, hot breakfast items, and additional amenities.
Awards and Recognition
Overall awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each distance. Age group awards are also provided for various categories, ranging from under 14 to over 80 years of age.
