Charlotte SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run is scheduled for February 13, 2027, in Charlotte. The event features several distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
The courses are professionally managed and timed, starting and finishing in the First Ward Park district near the Spectrum Center. The routes take participants through local areas such as Belmont for the 5K, while the 15K course extends through neighborhoods like Country Club Heights, Villa Heights, and Plaza Midwood.
All registered participants receive a race kit that includes a full-zip jacket, a commemorative finisher's medal, and a race bib. Professional high-resolution race photos are also provided to runners at no additional cost.
Following the race, a party is held at First Ward Park featuring music and various vendors. A notable feature of the finish line experience is the finisher’s mug, which contains hot chocolate, chocolate fondue, and dippable snacks. For an additional fee, participants can join the Cocoa Club, which provides access to a private lounge, a hot breakfast item, and preferred corral placement.
A pre-race expo and packet pickup takes place on February 12, 2027, at the Charlotte Convention Center. There is no packet pickup available on the day of the race.
