Charlotte SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run - First Ward Park
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run in Charlotte is scheduled for February 13, 2027, with the start and finish in First Ward Park near the Spectrum Center. The event offers three distance options and a managed, professionally timed course that passes through Center City and nearby neighborhoods.
Participants receive a registration kit that includes a full-zip jacket and a finisher's medal. The finish area features a post-race party with hot chocolate, a chocolate fondue finisher's mug, dippables, music, and vendor booths. Free high-resolution race photos and electronic race timing are provided to finishers. Live runner tracking will be available the week of the event.
A paid VIP upgrade called the Ghirardelli Cocoa Club includes premium Ghirardelli hot cocoa, a shopping bag with take-home cocoa, a $35 onsite store credit, VIP corral placement, access to a dedicated Cocoa Club area, and an upgraded onsite experience that may include a hot breakfast item, heaters, and dedicated restrooms.
Expo packet pick-up is scheduled on the day before the race at a location to be determined; the expo is free and open to the public. There is no race day packet pick-up. Packet mailing is available for a fee and has a registration deadline of January 24, 2027. Overall and age group awards are given for the 5K, 10K, and 15K distances, with cash prizes and registration incentives for top overall finishers.
