Charlotte SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run - event summary
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run in Charlotte takes place on February 13, 2027, with race activities centered at First Ward Park in Center City. The event offers three distance options:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
Courses start and finish in the First Ward Park district and pass local landmarks and neighborhoods such as the Spectrum Center, Cordelia Park, Country Club Heights, Villa Heights, Plaza Midwood (15K route), and Belmont (5K route). A post-race party at First Ward Park includes music, vendors, free race photos, and a Chocoholic finisher’s mug served with chocolate fondue, dippables, and hot chocolate.
Race entries include a swag kit with a full-zip fleece and a finisher’s medal. An Expo and packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, February 12, 2027, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at a location to be announced; there is no race day packet pick-up. Packet mailing is available for a fee of $21.95 if requested before January 24, 2027 at 11:59 PM.
A Ghirardelli Cocoa Club upgrade is available; club benefits listed by the organizer include premium Ghirardelli hot cocoa, a canvas tote with single serve cocoa, a $35 onsite store credit, preferred corral placement, access to a dedicated Cocoa Club area, and upgraded onsite amenities.
