Charlotte SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run in Charlotte takes place on February 13, 2027, with a start and finish area at First Ward Park in the First Park District near the Spectrum Center. The event offers three distance options:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
Course highlights include Center City, Cordelia Park, and local neighborhoods such as Country Club Heights, Villa Heights, Plaza Midwood, and Belmont for the 5K route. The post-race area is at First Ward Park and features music, vendors, and a finisher's mug served with chocolate fondue, dippables, and hot chocolate.
An expo and packet pickup are scheduled for the day before the race at the Charlotte Convention Center Hall C2. The expo is free and open to the public, and race kits and merchandise are distributed there. There is no race day packet pickup; packet mailing is offered as an option with a specified deadline.
The event includes timing and free high-resolution race photos delivered after the finish. Overall awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance with cash and registration rewards. Age group awards are also given to the top three in standard age brackets with registration discounts and patches.
