Overview
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run in Atlanta is a chocolate-themed racing event held at Centennial Olympic Park. Scheduled for January 31, 2027, the event offers two distinct distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K
- 15K
The course is professionally managed and timed, guiding runners through various landmarks in downtown Atlanta. Participants in both distances pass the Georgia Aquarium, Mercedes Benz Stadium, and the Georgia World Congress Center. Those completing the 15K distance also run past Atlanta City Hall, the Olympic Torch, Grant Park, and the Georgia Tech campus.
Participant Experience
Each registered runner receives a participant kit that includes a full-zip jacket and a commemorative finisher's medal. After crossing the finish line, participants have access to a post-race party in Centennial Olympic Park featuring music and vendors. A signature element of the event is the finisher's mug, which contains hot chocolate, chocolate fondue, and various items for dipping.
Logistics
The event utilizes an expo for packet pickup located at the Southern Exchange Ballrooms - The Cellar on the two days preceding the race. There is no packet pickup available on the day of the event, though a packet mailing option is available for an additional fee if selected by the deadline.
For transportation, the venue is accessible via public transit, located within a 10-minute walk from the GWCC/CNN station and the Peachtree Center station.
