Hospice of Guernsey Flamingo Run
The Hospice of Guernsey Flamingo Run is a memorial running and walking event held in Cambridge, Ohio on July 25, 2026, with activities based at Cambridge City Park. The event offers multiple distances and formats.
- 10K (6.2 miles), timed run
- 5K (3.1 miles), timed run
- 5K Walk (3.1 miles), timed walk
- 1 Mile Memorial Walk, non-timed
The 10K follows a double loop route that goes down 8th Street Road and passes through Northwood Cemetery and the Edgeworth area. The 5K uses the same route as the 10K as a single loop. The 1 Mile Memorial Walk takes a shorter route through Northwood Cemetery and returns to the park. Water stations are located outside the cemetery and at the finish, and nutrition is provided.
Awards for the 10K and 5K runs include top three overall female and male finishers plus age group awards in these categories: Under 14, 15-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, and 60 plus. The 5K Walk issues top three overall female and male awards only. Special medals and Golden Flamingo trophies are presented to groups with the most participants.
Race packets include a custom t-shirt with the official race logo, a memorial bib, and sponsor items. Registrations open February 13, 2026 and close July 24, 2026. Entry fees vary by event and date. If an in-person race cannot be held, registrations will be converted to a non-refundable virtual event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
