Event Overview
The Grow into Summer 5k Run and Walk is a community sports event held in Cambridge, Ohio. The event features two distinct participation options covering a distance of 3.1 miles:
- 5k Race: A timed competitive event where participants are eligible for overall and age group awards.
- 5k Fun Run / Walk: A non-timed participation option for those who do not wish to compete for awards.
The course is set through Cambridge City Park and the residential areas immediately adjacent to the park grounds. Both the start and finish lines are located at Cambridge City Park Pavilion #6, situated at 1101 McFarland Drive.
Participation Details
Participants in the timed race compete for awards presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. Additionally, awards are provided to the top three finishers in several age categories ranging from 14 and under to 60 and over. Those who opt-in for electronic notifications receive race results immediately via text or email upon completion. Physical results kiosks are also available on-site.
The event provides finish line snacks and bottled water for all runners and walkers. This race is part of the 2026 Grow Races series. Individuals who register for and complete all six events in the series qualify for a special Grand Prix medal, which is distributed at the final race of the year in November.
