Event Overview
The Hornet Dash is the eleventh annual event presented by the Highland Alumni Association in partnership with the Highland Foundation for Educational Excellence. It takes place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Highland High School in Medina, Ohio.
Distances and Pricing
Participants can choose from the following race options:
- 1-Mile Fun Run: Priced at $10. This distance consists of four laps around the track.
- 5K - Students: Priced at $15. This is a chip-timed race.
- 5K - Adult: Priced at $20. This is a chip-timed race.
- 5K - Virtual: Priced at $20. This option allows for remote participation.
The 5K course begins and ends at the Highland High School Stadium and is a mixture of road and trail terrain.
Activities and Amenities
Registration for any race includes a commemorative t-shirt. On-site registration and packet pick-up are available. Event activities include balloon art and face painting. Coffee, Gatorade, and breakfast food items will be available for purchase.
Beneficiary
Proceeds from food and beverage sales benefit the Highland Foundation for Educational Excellence. Kona Ice will also be present, donating all its proceeds to the foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
