Event overview
The Selfless Elf 5k takes place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank's Main Campus, 350 Opportunity Parkway, Akron, OH 44307. It is the 13th annual edition and benefits the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. Registration lists a fee of $40, with the price increasing after December 19, 2025.

The event offers separate registration categories for runners and competitive walkers. Participants who will run or jog at any point should register as run/walk; those who will walk 100% with no running should register as competitive walkers. Both categories start together and will be distinguished by different bib colors. The race is chip-timed at both the start and finish lines. Team registration is new this year, with an award for the fastest team of four people or more.
All participants receive a long-sleeve race t-shirt and striped elf socks. The event is dog-free. Packet pickup is available Friday, December 19, 2025, and on race day; specific pickup windows are published. Awards are distributed after the event at an awards booth inside the warehouse, and live results are available on the RacePenguin app. Additional recognitions include costume and fundraising awards, and VIP fundraiser levels offer apparel and special recognition.
