Hope Trail Festival
Hope Trail Festival is a timed trail running event held on a 5 mile loop at Newnham Park, Plymouth, on a private 1550 acre estate near Dartmoor. The festival offers endurance formats of 12 hours, 24 hours and 36 hours and allows entries as Solo runners, Pairs or Teams of three to eight. Only one runner from a Pair or Team may be on the course at a time; all team members may run a final lap together.
The event includes a timed childrens race for participants up to age 16. All finishers who complete at least one lap receive a bespoke Hope Trail Festival medal. Additional awards include bronze, silver and gold medals for the 12, 24 and 36 hour categories, trophies for top Solo, Pair and Team finishers, and a 100 mile buckle for Solo runners who reach 100 miles and a shared buckle for Pairs and Teams that reach the same milestone.
Facilities on site include free participant camping that covers one accompanying adult plus children under 16, free off road parking, toilets and drinking water taps. A checkpoint on course provides water, cola, Tailwind Mandarin Orange and snacks; the transition area also offers refreshments and on site vendors and traders. Mandatory kit must be carried at all times, and a primary light such as a headtorch is required for night running. Professional event photography is provided free of charge.
