Hope to Walk 5K
The Hope to Walk 5K is a campus-based nonprofit event held on April 18, 2026 at Austin Field, Villanova University, in Villanova, PA. The course begins and ends at Austin Hall by the Oreo and covers a distance of approximately 3.1 miles.
Proceeds from the event support Hope To Walk, a nonprofit that provides affordable prosthetic care in underserved communities. Registration fees, donations, and participant fundraising directly fund prosthetic services and related programs in regions such as Guatemala, Honduras, and Vietnam. The registration fee is $20 and all registration fees are directed to the organization’s mission.
Participants may fundraise individually or as part of a team. Clubs, sports teams, and student organizations are encouraged to organize group fundraising and set collective goals. Donors or fundraisers who reach $250 receive a Leg in Honor; that recognition places a name on a prosthetic leg and includes information and photos of the patient.
Every finisher receives a Hope to Walk 5K medal. The event is described as bringing the Villanova community together while raising awareness for Hope To Walk’s mission and supporting increased mobility and independence through prosthetic care.
