Hope Rescued 5K Run/Walk
The event takes place on September 5, 2026 at Baringer Hill Overlook Pavilion in Cherokee Park, Louisville, KY. Proceeds benefit Hope Rescued, a Louisville nonprofit working to address homelessness and human trafficking.
Distances included in the program:
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 2K walk
- 50 m kids dash
- Virtual 5K option
The 5K is a chip timed run/walk on paved park trails. Awards are given to the overall top male and female finishers. Walkers and strollers are explicitly welcomed. The 2K walk is an untimed route on paved surfaces and does not include awards; walkers, strollers, and wagons are permitted. The kids dash is a free, untimed dash for children ages 9 and under; there are no shirts, bibs, or awards for that event. A virtual runner/walker option allows participants to complete a 5K on their own and receive a mailed race packet or shirt unless they choose local pickup.
Registration opens April 23, 2026. Most in-person entries close on August 13, 2026; the kids dash and virtual options have later closing dates. Standard listed registration fees apply for the 5K, 2K, and virtual entries and the kids dash is free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
