Hope Is Here 5K Run/Walk/Stroller-Walk : Islandia
Hope Is Here is a community 5K event presented by the Postpartum Resource Center of New York and the Village of Islandia to raise awareness of parental mental health. The event takes place at First Responders Memorial Park and Ball Field in Islandia, NY.

Amenities include a commemorative race T-shirt for the first 150 registrants, a race swag bag for the first 350 registrants, PRCNY merchandise prizes for fundraisers who reach $500, live text and email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for those registered three weeks in advance. Teams are allowed and there are prizes for top individual and top team fundraisers.
Awards are given for top overall male and female finishers and for males and females in age divisions including 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, 80 to 89, and 90 plus.
Registration opens prior to the event date as noted by the organizer. Bib pickup is handled by event staff and last-minute registrants can receive bib numbers by text within a short window before the event.
The Postpartum Resource Center of New York aims to increase awareness and access to care for parents at risk for or experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders through education, screening, support programs, provider training, and community partnerships.
