Hope in Every Step 5K
The Area Agency on Aging 3 presents Hope in Every Step 5K and a 0.5K Community Walk on September 5, 2026, at Ottawa Metro Park - Wyandot Shelter, 2632 Ada Rd., Lima, OH 45801. The event raises funds for the Awakenings Victim Outreach Program to support older adults who have experienced abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
Distances offered:
- 5K running race with advance registration fee $20 and $25 race day
- 0.5K Community Walk, about a quarter mile, free registration
All 5K participants receive an event t-shirt while supplies last and a finisher medal. 0.5K Community Walk participants receive a walk completion pin and resources and handouts. Day of registrations are accepted, but t-shirts are not guaranteed.
The 0.5K walk supports AAA3’s 10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls Campaign and promotes healthy aging and fall prevention. The course is fully paved with some wooden bridges. Participants are encouraged to go at their own pace and strollers are welcome. Awards will be given to the top male and top female finishers in each age group.
