Putnam County Running Series
The Putnam County Running Series consists of three distinct running events held in different communities throughout Putnam County, Ohio. This athletic series is designed to support local charities and organizations while encouraging an active lifestyle within the region. The series tracks the cumulative times of participants across all three scheduled races to determine overall standings.
The events included in the series are:
- Turtle Trot (5k): A 3.1 mile race held at Glandorf ParkFest in Glandorf.
- Friday Night 4 Miler: A 4 mile race taking place during the Kalida Pioneer Days in Kalida.
- SPPS Foundation Run (5k): A 3.1 mile race at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Ottawa.
Participants who enter the full series are tracked via their total time across all three events. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female masters runners. Individuals who register for the compilation of all three events before the specified deadlines are provided with a themed quarter-zip garment. Registration for the individual races or the series as a whole takes place online prior to the autumn event dates. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
