Hoofin' It for Ag 5K
The Hoofin' It for Ag 5K is a community-focused running and walking event held at the fairgrounds in Valparaiso, Indiana. The race is organized to support agricultural education, with proceeds benefiting local initiatives such as FFA and 4-H student leadership programs, classroom resources, and youth livestock and crop education projects.
The 5K course takes participants through the fairgrounds, passing by landmarks such as livestock barns, exhibit halls, show arenas, and open fields. The terrain is mostly flat and follows clearly marked pathways. Water stations are positioned along the route to provide hydration for those taking part.
Participants who register by July 23, 2026, receive a guaranteed event shirt. The event features electronic timing, and awards are presented to the top finishers. Post-race activities at the finish line include music and farm-fresh snacks for the participants.
This event focuses on fitness and the promotion of agricultural leadership and science. It is open to the public, including competitive runners, casual joggers, and families. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
