Hoofin' It for Ag 5K - Valparaiso Fairgrounds
Hoofin' It for Ag is a community 5K held on August 1, 2026 at the Valparaiso fairgrounds, 217 E Division Rd, Valparaiso, IN 46383. The event raises funds for agricultural education, with proceeds supporting FFA and 4-H student leadership programs, classroom resources and hands-on ag science labs, and youth livestock and crop education initiatives.
The course runs through the fairgrounds, passing livestock barns, exhibit halls, and open fields. The route is described as mostly flat and is clearly marked. Volunteers will guide participants along the course and water stations are provided. The race is timed and includes awards for top finishers.
Registration details: open from February 13, 2026 and closes July 31, 2026. Registration fee is $20.00. Participants who register by July 23, 2026 are guaranteed a shirt.
On race day there are farm-fresh snacks, music, and a finish-line celebration. Awards include Top Overall male and female, Top Masters (40 and over) male and female, and Top 3 in age groups: 10 and under; 11-12; 13-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; and 75 and up.
