Honouring Traditions Powwow Run
The event takes place on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Henderson Lake Park in Lethbridge, AB. It offers two participation options reflecting the cultural context of a pow wow gathering.
- 5K : a scenic route around the lake.
- 2K : an inclusive, family friendly walk/run.
The start and finish are located at the Kinsman Shelter area. Strollers are welcome and dogs are not allowed. Registration includes a T-shirt with available adult and youth sizes and a finisher medal limited to the first 150 registrants; the shirt order deadline has been extended to August 21.
This is an official chip timed race with live online results during the event and full printable results and downloadable finisher certificates after the race. Downloadable award certificates are provided for the top three in each age category and for the top three overall male and female finishers. Announced age categories are 11&U, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Package pickup is available on race morning at the start area. Organizers are seeking on-course volunteers.
