19th Annual Honda 5K
The event is a community 5K held at Honda's Alabama Auto Plant in Lincoln, Alabama. The program includes a main 5K race and a separate kids' race. Registration must be completed online; day-of registration and results use the RACEDAY Check-in app. Registration fees are listed as $15 for the general public and $10 for Honda associates, eligible dependents, and Honda retirees.
The course mixes flat paved roads and off-road trails that run through wooded areas on Honda property. Electronic chip timing is used; the RFID timing tag is attached to the back of the race bib and runners are instructed to pin the bib to the front of their shirt.
Event amenities and activities include a costume contest, food, drinks, and music. Children can participate in Trunk or Treat, use bounce houses, and have face painting. T-shirts are available at registration if ordered prior to October 5; extra shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome.
Awards consist of Honda medals for the top three male and female overall finishers and for top finishers in age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
