19th Annual Honda 5K
The event is hosted at Honda - Alabama Auto Plant Line 2 in Lincoln, Alabama. It includes a main 5K race and a separate kids' race. Two entry categories are listed: one for Honda associates, contingents, eligible dependents and Honda retirees, and one for the general public.
Registration is handled online. Fees are stated as $10 for the Honda category and $15 for the general public. Registration deadlines and shirt ordering deadlines are provided; T-shirts ordered before October 5 will be available at registration and extra shirts may be available on a first come, first serve basis.
The course mixes flat paved roads and off-road trails that run through wooded areas on the Honda site. Well behaved dogs on a leash are welcome on site. Electronic chip timing is used; the RFID timing tag is attached to the back of the race bib and runners are instructed to pin their bib to the front of their shirt.
Post-race activities include a costume contest, food, drinks and music. Family-oriented features include Trunk or Treat for children, bounce houses and face painting.
