Warrior Dash 5K
The Warrior Dash 5K takes place on 02/06/2027 in Talladega, Alabama at 705 South Street East. The event distance is 3.1 Miles. All proceeds from the event support the Alabama Warriors, the adult goalball team based at E. H. Gentry, a division of the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB).
Goalball is a team sport for athletes who are blind or visually impaired. Players use a ball with bells inside and rely on sound, communication, and teamwork to defend a goal and to score against opponents. The event description notes that participating helps fund uniforms, athletic shoes, travel for tournaments, and practice equipment for the Alabama Warriors.
Registration opens on 05/18/2026 at 10:01 and closes on 01/30/2027 at 00:59. Early bird registration is listed at $25 through 01/29/2027 at 11:59 PM; after that the registration fee increases to $30. Participants who register by 01/01/2027 are guaranteed an event T-shirt.
Awards will be presented for overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female, and age group awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female in the following divisions: 0–9, 10–14, 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70–74, 75–79, 80+. The event is scheduled to run rain or shine; in the event of extreme weather registration fees will be considered a donation and no refunds will be issued.
