Homeland Hospice 5K and Memory Walk
The Homeland Hospice 5K and Memory Walk is an annual fundraising event on Saturday, October 3, 2026, held at Rossmoyne Business Center, 5000 Ritter Road, Mechanicsburg. The event combines a timed 5K run with a Memory Walk and is stroller and wheelchair accessible. The start and finish are at the Rossmoyne Business Center, and free parking is available.
Proceeds support Homeland Hospice benevolent care programs, including supportive services such as massage, music therapy and additional in-home relief hours, and assistance for Homeland Center residents whose financial resources have been exhausted. Participants may honor a loved one by adding a name to the front of the event t-shirt for a $25 donation; t-shirt name deadlines apply.
All participants must register. The fee is $25 for participants age 13 and older; children 12 and under register free. To guarantee an event t-shirt, registrations must be received by Thursday, September 3; registrations after September 10 receive t-shirts while supplies last. Professional timing will be provided and official race results will be posted after the event.
The event began in 2014 as a competitive 5K and walk and has since evolved to include a Memory Walk that focuses on patients and family members. Awards include cash prizes for top overall finishers and age group prizes, ribbons for the top three in each category, and additional recognitions such as largest team and oldest and youngest participants.
