Homeland Hospice 5K and Memory Walk
The 12th Annual Homeland Hospice 5K and Memory Walk is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026. The event is organized to remember people who have died and to raise funds that support Homeland Hospice services and residents of Homeland Center whose financial resources have been exhausted.
The event format includes:
- 5K run
- Memory Walk focusing on patients and family members
Funds raised support Homeland Hospice supportive services such as massage, music therapy and additional in-home relief hours. Donors may add a loved one’s name to the front of the event t-shirt for a $25 donation; names printed on shirts are provided to registrants.
The event began in 2014 as a competitive 5K run and walk and later transitioned to include a Memory Walk with an emphasis on remembering patients and family members. Previous editions have involved walkers, runners, volunteers and sponsors. Local businesses and individuals provide support for the annual event.
