Holo Kahakai 1/2 Marathon Fun Run
The event is a fun run held at Kahakai Park in Pahoa, Hawaii, featuring multiple distance options that follow Old Govt Beach Road beneath a canopy of old growth mango and lauhala trees. The course runs along the oceanfront area near Kahakai Blvd and includes a scenic roadside section described as dappled sunlight under tree cover.

- Half marathon (13.1 miles)
The half marathon course continues to Highway 132, proceeds up the highway about one mile, then turns around and returns the same way. Self-serve aid stations are provided along the route. Water and snacks are available at the finish area, and participants are advised to bring personal hydration in case of hot conditions.
Registration details are provided for the event date of June 13, 2026. Registration is free for Big Island Road Runners members and requires a $10 donation from non-members. Registration is open from January 1, 2026 through June 11, 2026. Directions note that Kahakai Park is reached by taking Kahakai Boulevard from Highway 130 just past the Pahoa roundabout and continuing to the end of the road.
