Hilo Bay Jingle Bell 5k
The Hilo Bay Jingle Bell 5k is a road race held on December 19, 2026, near the Puna Canoe Club at Hilo Bay. The event uses a staging area and locates start, finish and a pancake breakfast in the block of street behind the Puna Canoe Club. The published entry fee is $35.00.
The course begins at the staging area and runs toward Keaukaha along Liliʻuokalani Gardens. Runners follow the route to a turnaround point across the Mazda/Subaru car dealership and return along the same corridor to the staging area.
Early packet pick up is offered at the Puna Canoe Club on December 18. Race day packet pick up is also available. Volunteers from the Puna Canoe Club staff the event; the activity serves as an off-season fundraiser for the club’s long distance program. The pancake breakfast takes place after participants finish and is located in the same block behind the Puna Canoe Club.
