About the race
Holmfirth 10k, organized by Holmfirth Harriers AC, takes place in Hade Edge, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. The single 10-kilometre race unfolds on undulating quiet country roads, offering panoramic views over Winscar Reservoir and Thurlstone Moor as runners navigate the Holme Valley countryside. The course, introduced in 2022 to showcase the area, is not flat or urban but challenging and scenic.
Not suitable for wheelchairs. The 2025 edition doubles as the Yorkshire Veteran Athletics Association 10k Road Championship, with prizes for the top finishers and category awards. Proceeds support The Kirkwood Hospice.
