Eyam Fell Race sponsored by The Barrel
The event is a 10 km fell race that starts and finishes in the historic village of Eyam and uses nearby moorland and hill terrain. The route climbs to Sir William Hill, passes the Barrel Inn at Bretton, continues toward Abney Moor, includes a tight switchback and heather sections, and returns to Eyam via a steep wooded descent. The course is marshalled.

- 10 km senior fell race
- 3 km junior race for ages 11 to 16
The main race requires preregistration and places are strictly limited. The normal entry fee for the main race is £8. The junior race accepts on-the-day entry with a fee of £2 paid at registration and offers prizes in age categories U13, U15 and U17 plus a prize for first local. The junior route includes a steep ascent with steps, a level section and a steep descent; shoes with good grip are advised and the junior course is marshalled.
The event is sponsored by the Barrel Inn at Bretton. After the main race there is a barbecue and a bar in the courtyard and a range of prizes supplied by the sponsor. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
