About the race
The Denby Dash is a scenic 5.6-mile (9 km) trail race held in Upper Denby, Huddersfield, featuring an undulating course with a total ascent of 700 feet. The route winds through fields, woodland, conservation land, and the historic Quaker Village at High Flatts, offering a well-marked and marshalled path suitable for both recreational and club runners. The event includes junior races for children aged six and above.
Finishers receive homemade flapjack, and prizes are awarded across all age categories, including trophies for the first local male and female runners. The race atmosphere is festive, with live music and refreshment stalls at The George Inn, making it a fun community event on Bank Holiday Monday.
