Hollybank Eccup Junior Races 2026
The Hollybank Eccup Junior Races are junior trail races for school years 3 to 12 held at Bedquilts playing fields, Adel, Leeds. The course is a one-mile loop run entirely on grass. School years 3-6 complete one lap and school years 7-12 complete two laps. Race HQ and registration are on the Bedquilts playing fields near the start of the junior races.
Distances:
- 1 mile - one lap; school years 3-6; grass loop.
- 2 miles - two laps; school years 7-12; grass loop.
Entry fee is £4 for each distance; entry on the day is available for an additional £2 if places remain. The event has an entry limit of 120 and a race licence has been applied for. The course is described as flat and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Facilities at the race include toilets and changing facilities; there is no water, no distance markers, no showers, and no baggage storage. A family fun run of approximately 1 km will take place with entry on the day only. All participants in the junior races or fun run must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Prizes are awarded in all categories and a memento is given to all finishers. Abbey Runners will make donations from race proceeds to Hollybank Trust and The Hygiene Bank, and entrants may add an additional donation with their entry.
