Hollybank Eccup 10 & 5 Mile Races 2026
The Hollybank Eccup event on Sunday 5 July 2026 comprises road races around Eccup reservoir near Adel, Leeds. The event offers two distances:
- 10 miles
- 5 miles
The 10 mile race runs on closed roads along a scenic route through country lanes; the 5 mile race follows a shortened version of the same route. The course is described as undulating, covers one lap, and the event has an entry limit of 1000. A race licence is pending and the course is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Facilities at the race headquarters, Bedquilts Recreation Ground, Adel Lane LS16 8BX, include water stations, distance markers, toilets and baggage storage. There are no changing facilities or showers. Race numbers are collected at registration from race HQ.
Entry fees vary by distance, affiliation and whether a commemorative technical T-shirt is purchased; prices on the entry page range from £15.00 to £29.00 and a T-shirt may be added for an additional £8.00 at entry. If the event does not sell out, entry on the day is available for an extra £5.00.
The organiser, Abbey Runners, manages prize categories for overall, age groups and teams and offers a £100 bonus for breaking either course record.
