Meanwood Holly Hustle
The Meanwood Holly Hustle is a forest trail race that uses trails around Meanwood Park, the Hollies and the Meanwood Valley Trail, passing features such as the Seven Arches viaduct and Adel Crag. The course covers a distance of 10.5 km with approximately 200 m of elevation and runs over grass, rocky ground, muddy trails and footpaths.
The event is based at The Meanwood Institute, 94 Green Rd, Meanwood, Leeds LS6 4LD. Entry is limited to 200 participants and the minimum age is 18. Runners should expect narrow and technical sections; one small private road section is marshalled and runners will be asked to use the pavement where possible.
Facilities at race HQ include toilets, bag storage and a water station. The event is cupless: water refill stations are provided but participants must bring their own water container. Organisers also recommend carrying a jacket or warm layer because it can be a long walk back to the nearest road if assistance is needed.
All finishers receive complimentary soup. Optional extras may be available before the race, including purchased medals or t-shirts and a "Trees not Tees" donation option to fund tree planting.
