Meanwood Holly Hustle
The Meanwood Holly Hustle is a forest trail run that starts in Meanwood and follows paths through Meanwood Park, the Hollies and the Meanwood Valley Trail, passing the Seven Arches viaduct and Adel Crag. The course covers 10.5 km (6.5 miles) with approximately 200 m (650 ft) of elevation on grass, rocky ground, muddy trails and footpaths.
The route includes narrow, technical sections where headphones are not recommended. There is one short private road section that will be marshalled and participants are advised to keep to the pavement where possible. At this time of year the course is likely to be muddy; appropriate footwear is advised.
Race headquarters is at the Meanwood Institute, 94 Green Rd, Meanwood, Leeds LS6 4LD. The event has an entry limit of 200 and a minimum age of 18.
Facilities at race headquarters include toilets, bag storage and a water station. Events are cupless, so participants must bring their own water container for refill stations. A warm jacket or layer is recommended given the trail location and potential for long walks back to roads if assistance is needed.
