Hollidaysburg Diamond Dash
The Hollidaysburg Diamond Dash is a community road event held in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, centered at the Diamond at the corner of Allegheny Street and North Montgomery Street. The event offers multiple course options that remain within the Borough of Hollidaysburg.
- 10K Run: begins and ends at the Diamond and tours the Borough
- 6K Run: begins and ends at the Diamond and follows a Borough course
- 5K Walk: begins and ends at the Diamond and follows a walking route in town
All courses proceed down Allegheny Street and return on Walnut Street through Historic Hollidaysburg. The routes pass local landmarks including the High School, Tiger Stadium, and the Blair County Courthouse. The 10K course additionally goes around Legion Park and the Junior High. Organizers request that participants refrain from using headphones for safety.
Registration may be completed by mail, dropped off at the YMCA, or online. The first 300 registrants are guaranteed a t-shirt. A $5 fee is charged for lost or reissued bibs. Race packets are distributed at the Blair Regional YMCA beginning May 8 and are also available at the Diamond on event day.
Awards are presented immediately after the races. The 10K awards top 3 overall male and female. The 6K run and 5K walk award overall male and female. Top 3 male and female awards are given in age groups from 6-8 up to 70 and over. Volunteers serving as road marshals receive a race t-shirt and food.
