Holiday Lights 5K
The Holiday Lights 5K is scheduled for November 21, 2026, at Cherokee County Veteran's Park in Canton, Georgia. The event is a timed five-kilometer course that is fully inside Veteran's Park and certified as a Peachtree qualifier (USATF Course #GA20006DJ). The course is described as flat and chip timed, with runners passing through a large tunnel of lights on each lap and finishing at the Buzz Center where Santa will be present.
Race categories include in-person 5K, wheelchair rider and wheelchair assist sub-events, and a virtual 5K option. Registered participants receive a participant medal and a race shirt; shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by November 8, 2026, then while supplies last. Teams of five or more entered in a single transaction receive a per-person discount starting August 22, 2026.
Packet pick-up is available the day before at Reformation Brewery in Canton and on race day at Cherokee Veterans Park. Parking is provided off-site at Revolution Church with shuttle service to the park. Participants showing a race bib are eligible for free entry to drive through the light display on the night of the event.
Proceeds from the event are donated to a local charity; the 2026 beneficiary is Speed for Need. Awards are given in wheelchair divisions, overall, masters, grand masters, and multiple age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
