Early Bird Turkey Trot in Kennesaw
The Early Bird Turkey Trot is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2026, in Kennesaw, Georgia. This annual event takes place two weeks before Thanksgiving and provides several distance options for participants. The course is designed as a 5K loop, which is described as mostly flat. Participants in longer distances complete multiple laps of this circuit.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K (one lap)
- 10K (two laps)
- 15K (three laps)
- Half Marathon (four laps plus a short additional section)
Electronic timing is used for all distances. Self-serve water stations are positioned approximately every 1.5 miles along the route. There is a required minimum pace of 16 minutes per mile for all participants. Overall awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers, as well as Masters, Senior Masters, and Grand Masters categories. Age group awards are also available in five-year increments ranging from 10 and under to 75 and over.
For those unable to attend the physical location, virtual versions of all distances are available. Virtual participants must submit their times by the end of the race day. Event swag, including long-sleeve cotton shirts, hoodies, and finisher medals, is available for purchase during the registration process or on the day of the event.
