Event overview
The Turkey Trot is a community running event benefitting the United Way of Bartow County. It takes place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Cartersville, GA at Sam Smith Park. The event offers two distances:
- 5K
- 1 mile (Giblet Jog)
The course may be altered this year because of construction in Sam Smith Park, but the 5K distance will be maintained. The event is described as rain or shine.
Details and logistics
Online registration is available through November 16, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST. Posted entry fees are $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 mile when registering online; race day registration fees are higher (posted as $40 for the 5K and $35 for the shorter event). Pre-race packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, November 21 at Big Peach Running Co., 402 E. Church St., Cartersville.
Start and finish lines are located at the entrance to the Sam Smith Soccer Complex, behind Cartersville Middle School off Milner Road. Event parking is available in the Cartersville Soccer Complex / Ric Mason Fields parking lot off Milner Road. Awards will be given to overall, masters, and age-group places; the top eight winners receive a frozen turkey. Additional information is available from the United Way of Bartow County.
