Holiday Half - Portland
Holiday Half is a multi-distance road race set for December 13, 2026, with in-person and virtual options. The event offers the following distances:
- Half Marathon, 15K, 10K, 5K, Virtual
All in-person races start and finish at the Daimler Trucks North America campus on Swan Island, a LEED Platinum-certified venue on the Willamette. Courses include river and city views such as downtown Portland, the University of Portland, the St. Johns Bridge, Pier Park, and the Willamette River. The 5K is described as completely flat and paved, with about two miles on the Willamette waterfront path. The 10K, 15K, and half courses include an early uphill section within the first mile and a downhill finish back to the venue. The half and 10K hold USATF certification numbers.
On-course support includes water stations (at least six for the half, two for the 10K, one for the 5K), electrolytes and gels, music and carolers, and themed cookie aid stations supplied by a local bakery. Event amenities listed for finishers and registrants include finisher medals featuring the event mascot Freddi, long-sleeve tech shirts for those registered before the shirt deadline, professional chip timing, post-race food trucks and a beer garden, DJ music, awards, and costume contests.
Operational notes: staggered wave starts are used, strollers are allowed, dogs are not permitted, and in-ear headphones are prohibited. The organizer does not offer refunds or deferrals; transfers to another participant or to the virtual race or a different distance are available.
