Holcomb Valley Trail Run : Big Bear Peaks & Pines weekend
The Holcomb Valley Trail Run takes place in Big Bear Lake, California as part of the Big Bear Peaks & Pines weekend on June 12–14, 2026. The single-day Holcomb Valley races are scheduled June 13–14, 2026, and a separate three-day TransRockies stage race is part of the same weekend.
Race options include a Vertical Stage (full and half) and one-day distances. Elevation gain and loss are published for each course. Course status for 2026 is subject to final US Forest Service approval and organizers note possible course changes due to permitting.
Distances and elevation changes:
- Vertical Stage (Full) : +1,300 ft / -1,300 ft
- Vertical Stage (Half) : +700 ft / -700 ft
- 33 Mile : +4,400 ft / -4,400 ft
- 15 Mile : +1,950 ft / -1,950 ft
- 9 Mile : +1,100 ft / -1,100 ft
- 5 Mile : +560 ft / -560 ft
The 33-mile race has a 10-hour time limit; the other distances have established course closure limits and interim cutoffs. Registration opens January 28, 2026, with early bird pricing through March 1; registration closes June 9, 2026. Refunds are not offered. One-day entrants may defer one year if they request by April 1. Transfers for the three-day stage race may be allowed at management discretion for an administrative fee.
