HIT the Trail 5K at Tacoma Community College
HIT the Trail is a chip timed 5K fun run and walk held on the Tacoma Community College campus. The event began in 2016 to provide scholarships for Health Information Technology students and is currently organized by students in the TCC Business programs to benefit business students.
The course runs on campus with a map provided. The venue is Campus Commons at Tacoma Community College, 6501 South 19th Street, Tacoma, Washington 98466. Parking is free in Lot A on race day. Participants are asked to leave dogs at home and to note that lockers will not be available.
Registration fees are stated per person: standard registration is $30, day of registration is $35, and currently enrolled TCC students pay $20 with presentation of student ID at packet pick up. A signed liability waiver is required for each participant to receive a race packet. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2026 at Building 14 from 8am to 5pm PST.
Donations designated to the 5K Fun Run/Walk are accepted, and volunteer opportunities are available. A course map and additional event details are provided by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
