Hit the Road, Jack!
This event takes place on Saturday November 21, 2026 at the Ruby Jack Trail Head in Carthage, MO. Net proceeds support JRR charities and the JTC effort to embellish and expand the Ruby Jack Trail.
Available distances include:
- 5K out and back, turn at the 2.5K marker
- 10K out and back, turn at the 5K marker
- 25K out and back, turn at the 12.5K marker
- 50K two laps of the 25K course, certified for 25K and 50K
- Virtual Run option available
All in-person distances are USATF certified and use electronic chip timing. The course is entirely on the Ruby Jack Trail and is described as flat and shady. All participants receive a USATF certified time for any distance or split they complete.
The 50K serves as the RRCA Missouri State Championship and includes cash prizes. A half way cut off for the 50K is three hours; missing the cut off converts that entry to a 25K finish. Championship medals and specified cash prizes apply to open and older age groups.
Prize structure for the 5K, 10K, 25K and 50K includes trophies for top male and female, ten year age group awards, an age graded award, finisher awards and certified times. Event amenities listed by the organizer include gift certificates, food and coffee vendors, music and free race photos. Registration opens June 24, 2026.
