Goodwill Hippie Dash in Safety Harbor, FL
The Goodwill Hippie Dash is a community running and walking event held on May 8, 2027, along the downtown Safety Harbor waterfront. Routes begin and end at the City Marina, and the event includes in-person and virtual options.
Participants can choose from these distances:
- 10K run
- 5K run
- 10K plus 5K Keep on Truckin' Challenge
- 1 mile walk, woof, and roll
- Flower Child fun run for kids (about 100 yards)
- Virtual 5K (Run From Home)
Walkers, strollers, wheelchairs, and dogs are welcome for appropriate events, with the requirement that walkers and strollers start behind runners. The Keep on Truckin' Challenge requires runners to maintain a 14:00 minute per mile pace and awards special challenge medals to finishers. Virtual participants receive a mailed t-shirt and medal after race day.
The event features costume contests with categories for adult Hippies, Flower Child children, and dogs, plus an award for the largest team. Teams can register as Hippie Friends or Corporate Teams. The race offers post-race food, a post-race party, 1960s music, and a vintage Volkswagen display. Medals and event merchandise are part of participant benefits.
