2026 Hintonburg 5K and 1K
The 18th Hintonburg 5K and 1K takes place on July 12, 2026 at Parkdale Park in Ottawa. The event offers two distances: a 5K open to adults and youth, and a 1K for children.
The 1K is free for children 12 and under. Published fees for the 5K are CA$44.73 for ages 13 and up and CA$23.07 for ages 12 and under; the 5K fee includes a Hintonburg race t shirt while quantities last. The first 325 registered 5K participants receive a commemorative t shirt.
Race timing is provided by SportsStats. Awards are given to first place finishers in the 5K and the 1K. On-course water stations are available and post race refreshments are provided. Locally donated prize draws are planned for participants. The event includes cake at the finish line.
Walkers and runners are welcome; strollers and dogs are allowed on course with caution. Donations accepted during registration support free sports programming for local children. Race kit pick up is available at Full Cycle, 7 Hamilton Ave N, with options for the day before and the day of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
