Hintonburg 5K and 1K : 18th annual

The Hintonburg 5K and the Kids 1K take place on July 12, 2026 at Parkdale Park in Ottawa. The event is organized by the Hintonburg Community Association and includes a 5K road race and a 1K fun run for children.

5K : adult and youth categories, the 5K is listed as sold out.
1K : free for children 12 and under, donations are accepted to support free youth sports programming in the neighbourhood.

Event features include commemorative t-shirts for the first 325 registered in the 5K, professional timing by SportsStats, awards for 1st place finishers in the 5K and 1K, post race refreshments, on course water stations, and locally donated prize draws. The finish line will include cake for participants. A 5K route is provided by the organizer.

Walkers and runners of all abilities are welcome. Strollers and dogs are allowed on course with caution. Race kit pick up is available at Full Cycle, 7 Hamilton Ave N, on Saturday July 11 from 10:00 to 16:00 and on Sunday morning starting at 7:30.
