Event details
The Hilton Head Freedom 5K is scheduled for Monday, May 25, 2026. It is a Memorial Day 5K run/walk that will raise funds for the Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes, supporting veterans and their families. The event offers a commemorative tech shirt and a finishers award for all participants.
There are three registration options: Freedom 5K Run/Walk (price $35; price increases after March 31, 2026), Special Active Military Pricing (price $25; registration ends May 22, 2026), and Kids under 10 (price $25; registration ends May 22, 2026). The event program includes food trucks, awards for Best Patriotic Dressed (individual and family categories), and medals for the top three in each age group: 12U, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
Location and logistics
The event takes place at Lowcountry Celebration Park, 94 Pope Ave, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928. Packet pick-up is on Sunday, May 24 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Palmetto Running Company in the Shelter Cove Towne Centre. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
