Hilton Head Freedom 5K
The Hilton Head Freedom 5K is a Memorial Day 5K Run/Walk held on Monday, May 25, 2026 at Lowcountry Celebration Park, 94 Pope Ave, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928. Proceeds will benefit the Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes, which supports veterans and their families. All participants receive a commemorative tech shirt and a finishers award. The event day includes food trucks, awards for Best Patriotic Dressed (individual and family categories), and medals for the top three finishers in each age group. - Event types and base prices: Freedom 5K Run/Walk ($35); Special Active Military Pricing ($25); Kids under 10 ($25).
- Registration notes: general price increases after March 31, 2026 at 11:59pm EDT. Registration for the Special Active Military and Kids under 10 categories ends May 22, 2026 at 11:59pm EDT.
- Packet pick-up: Sunday, May 24 from 3:00–6:00 PM at Palmetto Running Company in the Shelter Cove Towne Centre.
- Age group medal categories: 12U, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.
