Event details
The Hilton Head Freedom 5K is a Memorial Day 5K run/walk on Monday, May 25, 2026, held at Port Royal Plantation in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The event supports Semper Fi & America's Fund; proceeds will benefit veterans and their families. All participants receive a commemorative tech shirt and a special finishers award. The event includes awards for Best Patriotic Dressed in individual and family categories, and medals for the top three finishers in each age group: 12U, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
Registration and logistics
Events listed include the main 5K Run/Walk, a Special Active & Retired Military pricing category, and a Kids under 10 category. Listed entry fees are $35 for the main 5K, $25 for the military category, and $25 for Kids under 10. The fee for the main and military categories increases after March 31, 2026 at 11:59pm EDT. Registration for the Kids under 10 category ends May 22, 2026 at 11:59pm EDT. Packet pick-up is scheduled for Sunday, May 24 from 3:00–6:00 PM at Palmetto Running Company in the Shelter Cove Towne Centre.
