Hilton Head Firecracker 5K Presented by Hoka
The Hilton Head Firecracker 5K is the 42nd annual Independence Day event held at Honey Horn Park / Honey Horn Plantation in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina on July 4, 2026. The event includes a main chip-timed 5K and two youth runs, with awards for top finishers in multiple age groups and special awards such as most patriotic costume.

- 5K Run / Walk
- Kids 5K for ages 12 and under
- Kids 0.25 Miles (400 meter fun run) for ages 8 and under
The course runs through the grounds of Honey Horn, featuring paved roads and gravel paths and described as flat and scenic among live oaks, salt marshes, and museum grounds. The finish area is near the park pavilion where post-race activity takes place. All 5K finishers receive a finisher medal. A commemorative technical T-shirt is offered to participants who register by June 23; sizes are not guaranteed.
Event amenities listed include on-site food trucks, music, and event apparel. Packet pickup is available the day before at Palmetto Running Company in Shelter Cove Town Center; parking is available at the town center and on-site race day parking is noted.
