Event
The USA 5K - Hilton Head Island is a 5K run or walk held on July 4, 2026 in Hilton Head Island, SC (Coligny Beach Park). The course is described as taking place on the beach and noted as hard, flat, and wide. The event is produced by Go Tri Events - Hilton Head Running Company and is open to runners and walkers; strollers are welcome.
Details
Registration fees are $30 for adults and $20 for ages 0-12. Each registration includes a custom race T-shirt, a custom finisher medal, award medals, hydration on course, and post-race snacks. Packet pickup is scheduled on the days before the race at Hilton Head Running Company and there is late packet pickup at Coligny Beach Park on race day. There is no race-day registration.
All participants receive a finisher medal. Competitive awards include Top 3 Overall (male and female) and Top 3 in age groups for both sexes (12 and under; 13-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70 and over). Awards may be picked up at the race or later at Hilton Head Running Company; awards will not be mailed.
The event benefits Sea Turtle Patrol Hilton Head Island. A fundraising challenge will recognize the top fundraisers; the grand prize includes a Sea Turtle HHI experience limited to three people. Organizers state they may delay or cancel for safety in severe weather and will notify participants by email. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
