Event Details

The Firecracker Run 5K is an annual event held on July 4th in Downtown Beaufort, South Carolina. The in-person race follows a certified 5K course starting at Bay & Newcastle Streets. The route goes through historic downtown Beaufort and across the Woods Memorial Bridge to Lady's Island.

The event offers two participation formats: an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K. Packet pickup for the in-person race is available the day before at Grounded Running on Boundary Street. Same-day entries are accepted on July 4th during a limited morning window.

Participant Information

All registered participants are eligible for a t-shirt, though sizes are not guaranteed for registrations after June 1 of the previous year. The event is pet and stroller friendly, requiring pets to be on a standard 4-6 foot leash. Prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top two in each age division; awards are for in-person participants only.
