Mustang Marathon (formerly Hill Country Trivium)
The Mustang Marathon is a set of road races held in Marble Falls, Texas on November 8, 2026. Events begin and end at Mustang Stadium at Marble Falls High School and include a youth run and multiple adult distances.
Distances offered:
- 5k
- 10k
- 13.1 mi
- 26.2 mi
- 50k
- Youth mile
Races take place on paved country roads in the Hill Country with rolling hills, notable climbs and scenic views. Course routing uses out and back segments; the 5k and 10k use a single out and back while the half marathon and marathon include multiple out and back sections. Turnarounds for all distances are on Mormon Mill Road due to a washed out bridge; turn points are marked with stakes, painted markings and a flagged marker.
Aid stations include fully serviced intersections and additional water, electrolytes and ice at several turnarounds. On course fuel examples include cookies, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit, pickles and a selection of sodas and sports fuel such as Tailwind and SaltStick. The event is cupless; runners are asked to bring their own cup, bottle or hydration system.
All finishers receive a medal. Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers for each distance. Participants receive both gun time and chip time and awards are determined by gun time. Pacers are not allowed. Packet pickup occurs at Marble Falls Athletic Club and Mustang Stadium. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
