Lake Travis New Year Trail Challenge : Canyon of the Eagles
The event is a multi-distance trail running festival held at the Canyon of the Eagles area near Austin, Texas on January 1–2, 2027. It offers a range of race distances across natural terrain and looped courses that include river views and varied trail surfaces.

- 100K ultramarathon
- 50K ultramarathon
- 25K trail run
- Half marathon (run or ruck)
- 10K trail run or ruck
- 5K trail run or ruck
- Last Runner Standing format
- Kids races
Race services and logistics are described: staffed aid stations will provide hydration, nutrition, and basic medical assistance with snacks such as fruit, cookies, breakfast bars, chips, and soft drinks. Custom finisher medals will be awarded to all finishers. Packet pickup is available on January 1 at the start/finish area, and participants receive a wristband that serves as park entry proof. Parking is managed with designated areas, signage, and volunteer guidance. Registration includes park entry for the participant; separate spectator fees apply with listed rates for general admission, children, seniors, and qualifying veterans.
The event follows Leave No Trace and other eco-friendly practices to minimize environmental impact. Camping at the park is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
