Lake Travis New Year's Trail Challenge

The Lake Travis New Year's Trail Challenge is a multi-distance trail running event held at the Canyon of the Eagles in Burnet, Texas. The event takes place along the Colorado River, featuring a course with river views and gentle inclines. The race is designed to be accessible to various experience levels with generous cutoff times provided for all participants.

Participants can choose from a wide variety of distances and formats:

  • 100K Ultramarathon
  • 50K Ultramarathon
  • 25K Trail Run
  • Half Marathon (Run or Ruck)
  • 10K Trail Run (Run or Ruck)
  • 5K Trail Run (Run or Ruck)

The course utilizes a looped layout through natural terrain. A fully stocked aid station is positioned to provide hydration and nutrition, including fruit, cookies, breakfast bars, chips, and soft drinks. Medical assistance is also available on-site. All finishers receive custom medals upon completion of their race.

The event follows Leave No Trace principles to protect the local environment. Participants are required to stay on marked trails and pack out all trash. Please note that animals are not permitted at the event. Park entry is included for registered runners, while spectators may be subject to a general admission fee.
