Holiday Victory Lap and Star of Texas
This event takes place December 13, 2026 at Pace Bend Park in Spicewood, Texas. It uses a repeated paved loop course and offers multiple race distances on the same circuit. The marathon course is USATF certified (certification code TX25015LAB) and is listed as a Boston Marathon qualifier. The paved loop features moderate climbs and gentle descents and includes a personal aid station at the start/finish area.
Distances offered:
- 50 Mile Ultramarathon
- 50K
- Marathon (16 loops of the 1.64-mile certified course)
- Half Marathon (8 loops)
- 10K (4 loops)
- 5K (2 loops)
- The Speedyard elimination format
The Speedyard is a timed elimination race on the certified loop. Each round comprises two loops; allowed time per round shortens as the event progresses. Runners who clear seven rounds earn a single final loop to decide the Speedyard title. The format allows up to 15 loops (about 24.6 miles) and records each round for scoring and recognition.
Pacer policy applies for the marathon and ultra races: personal pacers must register in advance, wear an official pacer bib, may join after the first loop, and are limited to one pacer per registered runner at a time. Professional chip timing and frequent lap splits are provided. Finishers receive recognition such as a challenge coin and medal. The event also counts toward the Rio Colorado 250 series.
