Event
The 24th Highway One Companies 5K takes place on May 25, 2026, in Dewey Beach, Delaware. The event is the first race in the Ten Sisters of Dewey Beach road race series. The program includes a standard 5K run/walk and a competitive walking 5K division.
Registration and parking
Registration prices listed are inclusive of mandatory charges. Standard 5K registration is $33.70 (online period) and $35.00 on the day of the event. The competitive walking 5K entry is $33.70. Additional post-race party tickets are offered for $12.40. Limited event parking is available for a fee at the Rusty Rudder parking lot; free parking is available at meters and on side streets until 10 am. Participants are asked not to move or raise parking lot gates.
Race rules, timing and results
Competitive walking entrants must walk the entire race; running or jogging is not permitted in that division. Bibs are non-transferable. No dogs are allowed due to insurance liability. There are no refunds on registrations. Chip timing will be used with the MYLAPS BibTag system operated by R2R Timing. Results will be posted online during and after the race.
Amenities and awards
Gender-specific tech shirts and give-away items are listed among event amenities. A post-race party offers food and beer for participants 21 and over. Overall top finisher awards (male/female) and masters awards are scored by gun time; other age-group awards use chip (net) time.
