An electronic wristband records lap times and lap count.

- 3 laps = Half marathon
- 6 laps = Full marathon
- 7+ laps = Ultra marathon
Logistics and race rules
Basecamp is indicated on the event GPX map and can be used for kit storage. Each participant may set up one tent in the Basecamp area. Organisers provide three 6 x 3 meter gazebos for storage. Spectators are welcome at Basecamp. Hayfield Car Park is reserved for participants; parking fees are covered by the organiser.
Timing uses HuTags on velcro straps worn on the wrist. Tags must not be covered as wet clothing can block the radio signal. Runners should avoid congregating at the start line after finishing a lap to prevent false readings. Runners must check out with Basecamp marshals and return their timing device to finalise lap counts; a finisher prize is issued on return.
Mandatory kit includes sufficient nutrition and hydration (minimum 500 ml fluid per hour and 60-90 g carbohydrates per hour of running), appropriate weather clothing, dry clothes for after the event, and a mobile phone.
