High Lodge Half Marathon - Spring
The High Lodge Half Marathon - Spring is a circular trail event in Thetford Forest on Sunday 4th April 2027. The race covers a half marathon distance on mixed, traffic free trails that include hard-packed sand, grassy footpaths and forest paths. The route passes through areas of local wildlife interest where fallow deer and wild thyme may be seen.
Timing is manual. The event is cupless to reduce single-use waste; fresh drinking water is available at refill points and participants must use their own bottles. An optional eco-friendly finisher medal is offered and professional photography is available.
Age and performance rules include a minimum age of 17 years and a 3.5 hour cut-off for the half marathon. Podium trophies are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers. To comply with UK Athletics rules a £2 fee applies to non-attached club runners.
Medical assistance will be available during the event but competitors enter at their own risk. Participants must ensure they are medically fit to take part and are advised to wear footwear with good grip for the varied terrain.
